It's pretty much the only negative in what is an amazing car. My two Jettas have not had Dynaudio, yet the sound quality is very good. The Tiguan just stereo just sounds a bit thin and flat. I did a comparison when I drove a Tiguan a few days ago. Played some music on the radio, then payed a song from my phone. I did the same thing when I jumped back into my Jetta and it was easy to acknowledge that the sound was a lot better in the Jetta. I'm far from an audiophile, but the difference to me is quite significant.
Source material plays a big part in this.....the old saying rubbish in rubbish is especially true of audio. I won't have an MP3 in the house or the car for that matter. I have the dyn system in the Scirocco and it is decent to good but my source material is all lossless coming from an iPod classic (yes such things still exist). Anything less than CD quality adds to the compromise that is already the compromise of car audio.

On on the other ha,no you could of course be absolutely correct and the Tiguan stereo doesn't match the quality of the other tech in the car. We will find out very soon!

Wife's so it will take sometime to break in. Current Tig 147 is 8 years old in April and has just turned over 40,000km. At least this one has paddles and DSG for some more spirited driving.

if nothing else will post some pics. The habanero orange should brighten up this forum a bit since most seem to have opted for various shades of grey.

    enjoy your driving

I saw an habanero orange one just before Christmas. Before then I though it was a hideous colour however actually having seen it in the flesh I must admit I actually liked it.

When I saw the Habanero orange, and learned about the Tiguan R-line, my first thought was to have an R-line in Habanero orange. Guess it would have been too much to handle for the guys at AUDI...

Had the R line been available in the orange I probably would have stu, pedi up for it. One of those few occasions when the determination of my wife has saved us money.

What is the relationship like with your dealer? Is it possible to just (nicely) ask him why he has been told all 162's have been delayed when you know that there are some being delivered in Feb? This is my first VW but what I plan to do with my dealer regarding the towbar on the R-Line.

Mine is a 162 R-Line White with DAP and Sunroof, supposedly the combination that will take the longest, and I ordered it back in September as well so I can't see why yours is any different to mine and what the delay could be. Hopefully it isn't anything suspicious or dodgy from the dealer/VW.

Keen to keep hearing how you go!
