How to track the car you have ordered?

Spoke to my dealer last week and he confirmed delivery this Thurs, so will have to start transferring funds.

Changed mind
After much pontification, I changed my order from 140TDI to 162TSI Highline. Ad blue was the game changer for me. I realise that UK and Europe favour diesel in a big way, but I think that the difficulty in meeting emission requirements with diesel, along with the improvement in petrol efficiency is favouring the future of petrol. Besides that, I like the GTI motor and only do about 20k a year.

They told me that the first shipload of 162's, that mine is going to be on, is to arrive late January. So I hope that's right.

When I track it is shows 'delivered from' on 12/10/16

Am I correct in assuming it left the docks and went to the dealer on 12/10?

Nice one. They're all the reasons why I decided to go with the 162TSI as well.

I wonder how many 162 orders will be filled from the first shipment, committed delivery dates will tell the whole story.

It will probably take another 2 weeks before you get your hands on the car.

Also thinking about changing my order for these reasons. I do less than 20k per year also and only heard about the Ad Blue thing recently...i didn't know about it and couldn't believe that you need to add another solution to the fuel every 1000km?
