I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

The built date of my 162kw R-line was 2016-10-18, and date of delivery (New Zealand) was scheduled at December 22nd.
The ship however is scheduled to arrive on the 15th of December, and I may even go have a look at Santa Claus' sleigh being unloaded.

A further 499 VW's (rough count 65 or so are Tiguans) on the Don Juan - left Bremerhaven yesterday on way to Melbourne. Due to arrive 7/1 then to Port Kembla 9/1. Those expecting end of Jan/early Feb deliveries might want to check their VIN's against that ship. Will have our 162TSI pretty much on schedule at the end of January.

Now can get on and start thinking about replacing the Roc in April. What to get next?

Everyone has a point of view and I have put up mine. I like cars, I have been racing and rallying for about 40 years, worked in the industry most of my life etc. You will find that anyone who works in the industry or has worked in it and drives new cars every day has pretty much the same approach as mine, new cars are blah! The reason I bought this one is because I pretty much had no choice for personal reasons that have been forced on me, not because I "want a new car" reasons. I have been on this forum for a long time (2010) now and I came to this thread to see if there was any information on the technology of the car I did not have, primarily wanting to know if it had traffic jam assist in it which it does not, bummer.

Point taken! however I think it would be appreciated if you could to keep your negative comments to yourself and allow others to enjoy the benefits and sharing of their experiences on this forum. Enough said.

No he is more than welcome to keep posting comments and questions etc. I think we can just do without the negative comments towards people that are excited about the prospect of finally getting their cars.

Got an email from my dealer today saying that they received an email from VW Australia stating that all 162TSI highlines have been pushed back to May 2017 delivery. I ordered the car in July...

these things are just the false alarm, we all have heard too many delays so far, just ignore it, wait until the end of Feb, then we can start to speculate again .... haha

I got an updated print out from NADCON which has it moved from Feb to May
