I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Ring Reception and ask to speak with the Principal and make a formal complaint. If they have any ounce of care or credibility they'll do something about it.

Just checked their Facebook page and they have heaps of complaints and ratings of 1 out of 5.

The salesperson I have dealt with is lovely, it's just a jerk of a sales manager. I think he is still holding a grudge with me ringing VW Australia asking where my car was and why it has been delayed another 2 months.

Let's just say after I get the car I will not be returning there ever again I'll be servicing my car elsewhere.

Wow, that's really poor. I'm dealing with Nepean Motorgroup (in NSW) and they are very helpful. I ordered through a broker, so I thought it might be awkward talking to the dealer directly but they have been really helpful, and literally reply to my emails within 5 mins (not exaggerating, every email I have sent, they've responded in that time).

Similar experience for me too and I also ordered through a broker. Maybe thats the key?

Anyone had trouble insuring their 162TSI highline? Went to amend the policy for the current Tiguan 147 (we have about 4 months residual on that) and was told the 162 didn't exist.

It was one of those computer says no moments.

So now having too wait for the insurers to confirm the existence of said VW Tiguan 162TSI Highline before finalising delivery.

Picking up 162tsi this Thursday.

I guess mine wont be the first habanero orange then?

Kind of regret not taking the rline pack option.

Thought it was all cosmetic addons and also Not sure if the progressive steering and adaptive chassis control will be making a big difference ...

Yeah, there's been a few comments. I think NRMA has it listed now. You'll just need to call them up and they'll sort it out for you.

Nice one! I'm surprised they'd do it on Australia Day, but I guess they're probably open anyway.

You've got a highline, which is an absolutely lovely car. The R-Line pack is nice, and worth it for me, but sometimes it's hard to justify the cost of options in these purchases. Be happy with what you've getting, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Besides, you wouldn't have been able to get the Habanero Orange if you went for the R-Line, so perhaps you made the choice that was right for you.

The problem with having options is that you're more likely to doubt whether you've made the right decision or not. I went for the R-Line pack, but sometimes I wonder whether I would have been better off without it. I love the progressive steering and DCC, but I would nave preferred a lighter interior. But, the decision has been made!

If you are picking your car up on Thursday then you will beat us by 24 hours. Friday at 11am is the appointed time. The highline, no r pack is perfect for my wife and the 162 engine paddles etc will keep me happy when I get to drive it.

The r line front though does look great and would look great in orange.

it is going to be a year of waiting for cars. The Tiguan was ordered back in late August once once we have that delivered I've still got about 14 weeks to wait from my new Audi S3 sedan- may seems a long time away.

Not NRMA and not especially responsive so far. If I don't get an answer tomorrow I'll arrange insurance through a company that does recognise the 162. Had a friend recently purchase a fiat 124 spider. Took 2 weeks forr the insurance industry to recognise the model mean while his car remained at the dealers.

Hoo so no Rline for habanero orange? I didn't know that.

Its the wife's colour of choice ... we are both planning to have all sort of colours for our car. First was grey, currently blue and now orange

Anyway I'm sure the car will ride much softer than my WRX STi

also the electronics will so enjoyable compared to my all manuals. and hopefully its less thirsty
already getting benefit of lower insurance too

Followed up with my dealer today and got my VIN which is great, although it sounds like mine sounds like mine was pushed back a bit - was expected to arrive late Feb, but now looks like it's due to arrive in the country on 20th March, so I'm looking at late March, early April now for delivery.

Waiting sux!
