If its anything like the 110 2013 I drove as a loaner it wont be able to pull the skin off a half set rice pudding

A 132 would be the minimum for me and the 162 is just nice

I have been quote for a white 132 TSI R-Line + Sunroof option + free mats and boot liner for $50k. During the negotiations the dealer bring up a number on their screen at $54,900 which I find strange as the official VW site MRRP is $52,090... Anyway the dealer refuse to budge lower than 50k so I left.

I decided to pick up a black 132 TSI R-Line + Sunroof option + free mats and boot liner for $47,500 ex demo 10km register less than a month ago.

Yes add on the dealer delivery fee which is over $2000 pus your mats at $300 and sounds about right at $54+

Was the $47.5 a drive away price or plus rego etc

I signed up to one of the broker websites, but this one they only passed info to their network of dealers, not doing the negotiations for you.

I got a call from North Shore Volkswagen the next day (they’ve just been sold to Alto Group, which also has a VW dealer in Blacktown - I bought my Golf from there). I told the him again what I want at what price. He called back in 30’ saying he has the car in stock at price I want.

Came in the dealership few hours later, signed the contract. He couldn’t throw in anything extra though (other than full fuel tank and the “premium” number plate). Still quite happy with that price

No, it doesn’t include R line.

I was so conflicted with myself about the R line. It looks great, but then again mostly cosmetics (except progressive steering) and requires more expensive tyres as well. Ride also feel even firmer with those bigger wheels. So I decided to not have it...

It may hurt reselling price without the R line but I’ll have another 5 years (finger crossed) to worry about that.
