I just picked up a demo Tiguan 132 comfort line with DAP for 43k. had been driven for less then 100km... and was a my18.5 model. so I think it was a good price.

    Hi all,

    Pretty keen on getting a:
    162TSI highline (White)
    DAP
    R-Line
    Sunroof

From this thread I've collated a few prices paid for the similar configuration:
    $56,880 - Melbourne
    $57,500 - Sydney
    $57,800 - Brisbane

Does anyone have any better prices, or sales contracts, to share?
I'm hoping to better these prices given the MY19 with it's additions are now on order... but may have another month or two before the bigger discounts on MY18.5's are available!

About to pull the trigger on a Black Comfortline 110 + Luxury Pack + metallic paint for $44,500 (VIC). Seems pretty steep now looking at others. Thoughts?

MRDP on this is $48,417. So looks like around 8% discount which is not bad but possibly a little left on the table (10% would be my target).

I’d be finding out if the vehicle they are offering is 2017 build or if it’s 2018. Also keep on mind the 110TSI is going out of the range in a couple of months so dealers should be keen to clear out this stock.

Also this model was offered with 1.8% finance until June 30. So you’d want a deal as good as this on paper otherwise you’ll effectively be paying more for your car than others that bought a month and a half ago.

Also if you’re not set on a particular colour/options you may have more bargaining power as you can negotiate with a couple of dealers for the best deal.

If it’s the car you want and they won’t budge on price then load up the accessories and get them to give them to you for “free”. Think tint, boot liner, rear window blinds, tow bar, sill protectors, etc.

Thanks mate. I’ve rung a few and they are all unwilling to budge, even on the accessories! Anyone know a willing to work dealer in Melbourne? Have tried a few in the north and east.

Some people have had more success going through a broker. Cheapest (demo) with Luxury pack and metallic paint on carsales is $42k drive away: 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan 110TSI Comfortline 5N Auto 2WD MY18

I think you should be able to do a bit better than $44.5k but there's maybe only $1k in it.

Can’t believe that the dealers are trying to hold MY18’s in the $59k-$62k region for 162 fully loaded.

Even the broker is finding it tough. What’s going on!!

This has been my finding with the r lines. The demand is son high compared to supply that sometimes i feel this was intentional to keep prices high (just joking)

But yes dealers rarely come to the party.

I remember one dealer saying he wasnt going to drop $1 off the allspace price a couple of months ago

Very happy with the deal I was able to get. $56500 d/a for Tiguan Wolfsburg in Orxy White Pearl. Initially quoted $60500 with no discount from my local dealer (was talking $52000 for Highline MY18.5 with DAP). Started at $60700 d/a at this dealer. Cheekily told him my absolute bottom line was $56K, settled on $56.5K. Did say they are not supposed to be discounting these. Trade in on my current car at the middle of the range according to carsales.com.au, but may to try selling privately while waiting. Suggesting should be here Oct/Nov.
