22 November 2018: Brisbane Norris VW at Kedron just placed order for Grey Wolfsburg with panoramic sunroof and darkest legal tint and UV. $59,490 drive away February delivery. I have a factory number six digits and a V at the end so hopefully will be able to track the progress from Hamburg to Oz.
Update 28 January 2019:- well I didn't track my Wolfie on the ship but it was built in Wolfsburg on 23 November 2018 and I now pick it up tomorrow on 29 January 2019. Quite excited. For those who are looking for a good Wolfie price - delete the aftermarket tint from my deal above and you pretty much get a touch above $59,000 drive away no finance or corporate deals or other discounts - so this is a pretty decent price you should be aiming for, particularly now that all the previously delayed ships are arriving here in Oz. Looking forward to my first new car in 14 years. Now to sell my immaculate 2005 VZ Holden Berlina LS1 V8 (140,000km) which has been a complete joy to own.
Wow that’s fast delivery timeframes. It’s only a 2 months wait for you! Your dealer must have secured a car already built and on a ship when you ordered?
So exciting! We do need more Greys on this site!

Black Wolfy with Panoroof on order - Arriving mid Jan......
Hi All - the dealer has offered a discount on a 3 or 5 service pack if I purchase it upfront along with the car.
Could I ask where owners usually service their Tiguans? Do you go to the dealer (is there an advantage - eg firmware or nav updates?) or would any reputable service centre do? Maybe every third service at a dealer and leave the pack?
(sorry if this is not the right thread for this)
Personally I will be taking mine to VW for the lifetime of the warranty to ensure they install genuine parts and monitor the car properly.
Aftermarket service shops might not know the car inside out.

I’m a bit the opposite. I take my car to a VW independent specialist as I know I’ll be getting an experienced technician who has an interest in his business and my satisfaction.
If you take to a dealer you’ll likely get the apprentice change your oil and only overseen by a mechanic. Apprentice will often think he’s getting the crappy jobs and be less interested in doing a good job.
Plus I get to talk to the person that has worked on my car which you often don’t get at a dealership.
