I haven’t been looking long, but that appears to be a pretty sharp price. Imagine there’s still a little wriggle room there.
Perhaps the new models are on their way and need to free up floor space?
Camberwell offered the 57.5k over the phone, I never went into the dealership so it may not be "real" (in the sense that I never saw a contract at that price, so the 57.5k could have been to entice me to walk into the dealership).
I ended up going with Berwick VW, was a pretty good experience overall with them.

I would think so, as far as I know they started building MY20's already, so you could definitely get some very sharp pricing on MY19.5, but I suspect you'll be "stuck" with the popular setups (i.e. fully kitted out in a popular colour) the closer we go into the new year. So if your plan is to get a fully or popular spec'd car, you're in for a serious bargain if you try hard enough (I guess).
I'm not too fussed on MY19.5 vs MY20, as far as my research came back with, 20's have just simplified a few of the aspects of the car (i.e. the auto tailgate functionality is slightly different now), but other than that it's not a substantial facelift, so I was happy to take an in stock 19.5 with bargaining power.
Thought I'd chime in one more time - keep pushing hard on any floor stock particularly non-Rline's plenty of wiggle in there in my opinion.
As a point of reference I got a MY19.5 Dealer New Tiguan 162TSI (11km on it), first free service, boot liner, S&V, Pano Roof, Pure White for $52.5k drive away - Camberwell VIC.
Their sales guy was asking me mid-july if I was keen and used the "what price does it need to be to get a sale today?" - I said $51.5k and I'll give a deposit on the spot. 12hrs later we agree on $52.5k with first service.
I picked up my MY20 Allspace a couple of weeks ago.
The tailgate now only comes with the single push to close button, not the additional proximity button.
It was supposed to get the addition of standard cruise control on top of ACC, but VW pulled the pin on that.
The badging around centre console and engine cover was also supposed to go, but it didn’t.
So, if you are happy to pick up a bargain, get an MY19.5 if you can, you are not missing out on anything against the MY20. In fact, waiting for the MY20 means you do miss out on the additional boot button.
This is for Allspace though.
I believe the SWB gets the fancy lights for MY20 that they don’t currently have (but can be coded)(I think).
