I can close mine by holding the boot open button up in the drivers side door.

Doesn’t work with my Wolfsburg, I wonder if it can be coded? There’s been a few times where this feature would be handy to have.

Did you HOLD it up till the taildoor fully shut. No good just giving it a flick like when you open it

On hot days, when our Tig is parked in the sun, we regularly open the driver's door and then lift and release the boot switch, to allow the hatch to open and get rid of the hot air.

Once every one is in and the doors are closed, I simply lift and release the switch again, and the hatch closes.

We do not have to hold the switch up, simply lift it up and release for both opening and closing.

Is there some differences between models?

I can’t get it to work in my 2017 MY18 Sportline (base Highline spec) either.

I can pull the button up but can’t push it. If the boot is open pulling and holding does nothing.

I may look into VCDS coding to see if there’s anything in some of the adaptation channels.
