More renderings, but decent quality - OZ, Wheelworld, RC Design, Rial and CMS. Some of these look to be German reps..

Sorry if the question has been raised before but does anyone know what the max wheel/ tyre width is that can be fitted without any issues? Want to keep the 20” diameter.

I love the rear 315s on the X5s and looking to get a similar look going on my Tig.

It’s going to be a case of take out the measuring tape and see how much room is inside the wheel arch.

Are you running the R-line kit with body kit/flared guards? If so you could get away with a wider rim/tyre than the standard Tig.

Maybe check what others overseas have done but as far as locally there’s only 1 or 2 that I’m aware of that have fitted aftermarket wheels so far.

Yes it has the R-line kit. Didn’t realize that it had flared guards compared to the standard kit.

I might go into my local tyre shop and have a chat to them and work out what the widest fitment is that I can get done without any issues.

I just can’t leave it looking stock, it’s eating me up inside, as good as it looks already I still need to make it personalized haha!

Interestingly even the modded vehicles I've seen are still only running no more than 9 inch wide wheels, with 255 tyres.

Going to 315 would suggest you'd want something at least 11.5 inches wide - that would need a fair bit of work to play with I am guessing.

Yeah I’m not suggesting I’d go to a 315 tyre as I feel it would be too wide for the Tiguan.

Just looking to see what is the widest that can be fitted without making any modifications to the car. Looking for that slightly more aggressive stance on the road.

Just FYI I am running 19x9 ET35 rims with 255 wide tyres on my wife's 2013 155TSI Tig and it does look good.

I've got the arch extensions and there's still room for some more rim/tyre.

You could possibly get away with a 19x10 and 265 wide tyre but I would certainly check on the new R-line as I'm not sure how much space you have to play with.

In terms of rims it's a personal choice but I say don't cheap out. Better off getting a good second-hand set than a cheap set of reps.
