Gen 2 Tiguan Wheels Thread

Tyres are being bought tomorrow.. haven’t settled on a set yet.. stock will be a factor as I’m not too fussed anymore. Might get decent tyres if they have them or will settle for cheapies if that’s all they have.

I told the repairer the wheels will have tyres on them tomorrow. He was ok with that so should be ok on that front. I think cause he changed the time on me he was more accomodating to it.

Will let you know what the work is like!

She needs a wash ASAP, maybe some H&Rs as well

They look great!

Nice fitment and something just a bit different to the Suzuka's to keep people guessing.

Maybe find some VW centre caps to finish them off.

Very classy ride.

Cheers fellas. Waiting for an online seller to let me know if there 65mm VW caps will fit my car!! There’s some that are 60mm. I’m not sure which should fit?

Ok research done for those interested.

The standard VW cap size appears to be 65mm. The ones on my rims are 69mm.

Options for those interested:
1. You can get the cap from the VW touareg 70mm cap to fit into the Audi 69mm rim. This cap is black with VW in chrome.

2. There is a seller which has the 69mm cap but with the VW logo, but essentially it’s just an Audi cap with a VW sticker.

3. A guy has got the Audi cap with the lug holes covered as well in a silver which will match the car best.

So I’m either going to just get a silver VW sticker or take option 3 I think.

Just a thought - Aliexpress has the 132mm or 135mm blank centre caps (quality unknown) which accept a 60mm badge. I was thinking of spending the $20 on these just to see how they fit/look before spending significantly more on a genuine solution. They may even be OK...

What does the 132mm measurement refer to? I thought the Audi was 69mm, is that the length of the lug cover?

I've got a VW one that includes the lug cover. It was off the base model Tiguan wheel which I have as a full-size spare. I'll dig it out and measure if you like.
