What looks better, StormTrooper Tiguan 162 Highline +Rline with "Suzuka Alloy Wheels" or "Wolfie Black Wheels" (optional extra) ?

The standard R-line definitely looks classy. Whereas the Wolfsburg has the gangster look going on.

I don’t mind either but personally I think I’d prefer to live with the standard R-line long-term.

I have never been a big fan of black wheels, always think they just look dirty. Personally I much prefer the standard silver Suzuka and think they suit the R Line perfectly.

I agree especially if the Wolfsburg are just painted gloss black

Does anyone what the Wolfsburg Wheels are ? Are they just Suzuka Alloy's painted gloss black ?

If so, I assume that means with every curb rub it would scratch off the paint and leave the shiny Suzuka Alloy's showing through

    Yes they’re gloss black Suzuka’s.

Actually the black wheels will be easier to repair as they can be touched up with gloss black paint.

The machined faces are a pain as the have to go to a machine shop and get the faces machined then go to a paint shop and get the clear coat reapplied. It’s an expensive process - typically you’ll be up for ~$400 to fix a bit of curb rash on the standard Suzuka rim.

Just do what I did and go with the ones I like (only option at the time though) and just don’t curb them. Gen 2 Tiguan Wheels Thread

^^^this. And when you curb them then paint them gloss black.
