In all seriousness Harding had a Mk1 Tiguan up to stage 3+ from memory that was lapping decently on a Porsche track day so I am guessing it would have been wearing a very good set-up.

The way you have to look at is this. The OEM wheels on your car likely come out of a brand name wheel factory (BBS, Ronal, Borbet, etc). Enkei manufacture a lot of OEM wheels for Japanese cars. My thoughts on wheels is that you need to at least put wheels on that are the same level of quality that you have on your car from factory or better.Quote:

The way to make a light wheel is to manufacture using a forged, semi-forged of flow formed process. This process is not cheap but it does make strong, light wheels. If you just cast a wheel you'll get imperfections in the casting which reduce the strength of the wheel and mean that you need to make it thicker (and heavier) to give the same strength.
Also don't be taken in by big discounts. More than likely the discounted price is the usual price and they would never sell the wheel at the "before" price. It's just marketing to hook you in. They would never have been able to sell these for $900 a rim as you'd have bought Dutch's OZ Racing wheels otherwise.
