I have the Hankook S1 Evo 3 tyres on my Golf GTI currently and will more than likely put them on my wifes Audi SQ5 later this year once the current tyres reach replacement time.
The Hankooks review quite well and i have no issues with them whatsoever. Good grip in both wet and dry, and low noise. And they have a treadwear rating of 320 so a good balance between grip and longevity.
The Hankooks are also regularly on sale through Jax tyres in either a buy 4 but pay for 3 deal, or as they were in January as a buy 4 and get $150 cashback.
OK, I had Contisport 6 on mine as a replacement for the 5s. Easy choice as the tyre place got them for me at $350 a pop. No issues with them wet or dry. Needs warming up (10km) before they drive their best as well as be quiet.

Thanks guys. I will give the Conti a miss as I have them now and they wear way too quickly for just standard city driving
I will check out the Hankooks as I had them on a previous SUV and they lasted 90k km. How much did you pay all up for 4 Hankooks?
Out of these 3, which is the best tyre (travels most km's, low noise, good grip in wet) for the cheapest price?
(1) Goodyear EfficientGrip 2 SUV | (2) Hankook S1 Evo 3 | (3) Michelin Primacy 4 ?
Tyre Rotation
Is there a particular rotation sequence that is recommended by VW? (i.e. front to back | left to right ...)

I think rotation depends if they are directional in which case you can only go from back to front on the same side
Rotated my Continentals (front to back) (~ 20K km)
Appears the Front Tyres were a lot more worn than the rears. Same for the Front brake pads / disks. Is that normal?
Yep that was the same as my first set of contis
Barely lasted 30k
I said never again
I’m now on my second set of scorpions and I reckon I got 60k out of the first set
Also pads sounds about right, genuines are great, but soft and dusty. They are also rotor eaters, but they are designed that way as euro cars need immediate and great stopping when cold
Thanks mate
For the Rotor Discs, did you have to buy new ones for the Front or did you have the Rotor Discs planed down?
Also, at what km's did your Front and Rear Pads and Rotors last?
New rotors and front pads at 46k
But I haven’t enjoyed the setup
It’s squeeled from day 1 annoying af
Brake pads GDB1918
Rotors DR13045
Whenever they are, cost me $678 fitted back in Oct 2019.
Rears are still factory, cars done 106k
They are due though, not that the lights come to say they are low. 90k service I got told they wouldn’t make the next one.
