    Engine Bay Query

Just washed and detailed my Tig for the first time since purchase..2300 on the clock. Any way whilst cleaning under the bonnet I discovered these two foam blocks still in OEM plastic bags on either side of the engine bay. Anyone else have these and/or know what there for?
    cheers
    Gary

Just checked, I have them as well. Very odd and it will be interesting to find out what their purpose is.

What are they for?... Why are they still in plastic?

I suspect they are for sound proofing and are in plastic to stop them getting wet , holding moisture and causing rust.

That is exactly what they are for - sound deadening. I had them in Ford Kuga before I saw the light and got a Tig R-Line.
