My MMI unit in the S3 is a pain: when I connect my iPhone the MMI forgets what I was playing and reverts to the first Artist in the Alphabet.
Anyone advise if the VW Discover media models have better ability to play from where the iPhone was last at?

I suspect the iPhone controls that. Mine picks up where it left automatically, most times. Using Bluetooth and USB on iPhone.
I haven't tried CarPlay yet.
I suspect the times it isn't automatic is when I've been watching a YouTube video or similar...
