I reckon you might be the only person using removable media......?

Grab an Apple Music or Google Music subscription or use streaming radio through your phone with Spotify or iHeart. Most telcos don’t charge excess data for these services either. It’s also pretty cool when you use voice controls to request a track, album or playlist. You’ll never look back.
Unfortunately not everyone has constant cell phone coverage or even cell phones because of lack of coverage. I can drive 10km from my home and no cell phone at all. I use FLAC files on a USB and no issues at all, if it is a PRO unit try copying to the Jukebox internal storage and see what happens.

So last night I reformatted my SD Card using the exFat file system and copied my music to it.
This morning when I started the car the same problem returned.
I will look at getting a faster SD Card and see how that goes.

    I see your problem.

It's Neil Diamond. That's bound to stuff things up.

No in all honestly I was using a microSD card in an sd adaptor and my sd card would freeze, sometimes it wouldn't even read. I changed the adaptor and it's been golden since.

Are you using an adaptor or is it a full Sd card

I should mention mine is formatted in fat32 as none of the single files are over 4gb as it's only music files

    Just to update.
This issue has been resolved with a firmware update. Has been working flawlessly for the last two weeks.

    Cheers

Did the dealer do it for free or charged?

    Hi Vultch or anyone else.

Would you be kind enough to provide us your current firmware version after the update as I have struggled with this problem for 15 months. Have the fastest usb and sd cards and perfectly formatted music so it has to be firmware related and would kill for that update.

My current Discover Nav. System is:
    Hardware vers. 840
    Software vers.0757
    Media Codec vers. 1.2.0
    App Connect vers. 746
    Radio Database Vers. 1.8.3
    USB Surfstick vers.1.0.0

    TIA Portoff

OK, first of all, I have the Tiguan Adventure 132 TSI, but would assume that this makes no difference regarding the Discover Infotainment Unit.
When I collected my vehicle I received an invoice for zero dollars with the work description as follows,
    SELECTION UNAVAILABLE IN MEDIA UNIT
'Carried out software update to 5F unit as per TPI 2051221/1'

My current Discover Nav. System is:
    Hardware vers. 851
    Software vers.0870
    Navigation. 0821
    MRM2 2017/2018
    Media Codec vers. 1.2.0
    Bluetooth vers. 2300
    App Connect vers. 755
    Radio Database Vers. 1.9.7
    USB Surfstick vers.1.0.0

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers
