Just read the post re MY19 which confirms this
I am looking at upgrading from my 2012 diesel tiguan and went to a dealer today to look at the new Tiguan allspace. The dealer said that vw are stopping making diesels in tiguans and golf's.
They were only told a couple of days ago and that the vehicles being ordered now are the last ones.
The reason given was that in Europe the bigger cities aren't allowing diesel cars anymore so vw aren't building them for anywhere.
Can anyone confirm this?

Strange thing, I got an email from VW today promoting the Allspace and mentioning petrol and diesel engines available for the model.

MY15 TIGUAN 130TDI R-LINE - Pepper Grey, Panoramic Sunroof
I read something along these lines a few months back, where Land Rover sales were being effected by similar reg changes in the UK and it was a problem for Land Rover because they have invested heavily in diesel technology, but were going to all electric vehicles in 2020.
If they are coming down on diesels in Europe, it probably won’t be long before they do it here.
Diesel has been discontinued in FY19 for Tiguan, Passat and also Skoda.
