Can be hidden right down to the front of the unit on the screen. Cant see more than 50mm of wiring on mine and cant see it from drivers seat as I showed earlier. I have altered it since reply 32 as have had a new screen in

I mounted mine high up on the passenger side just to the left of the sensor box thingo. Yes it's not perfectly centre but it gets everything in view that matters.

Wiring is not in my view every day. And there's no way I was messing with the sensor box just to hide cables that are already of no concern. I'm as OCD as the next OCD person and my install is perfectly fine.

Whatever you guys do, just remember to run the power cabling under the curtain airbag not on top.

I am sure in the event of a deployment, the cable will snap like a toothpick, but I can imagine in the odd even the cable will turn into a great whip lol.

I have thought about the airbags in a lot of cars when wiring cameras over the years... I have had no problem with the fact that the airbags will destroy the flimsy little cables. I don't pull things apart far enough to route under airbags, and I certainly wouldn't be touching airbags regardless!

You can easily remove the pillar trim with a bit of finesse, the highest clip being the most annoying as it's a double locking clip, or "christmas tree" clip as it's called.

Once you've removed the trim/cover you can easily route the cables behind the airbag.

You dont even have to do that If you run it along the edge of the dash beside the A pillar and up between the screen and the A pillar the airbag wont get it as it will be infront of it where the wiring goes.

^ that works too, however if you're running a rear camera as well then routing down, back then back up will make it a not so fun task

I fitted my mini 0906 'pair' at the weekend - as stated, the A-pillar trim is awkward (had to re-shape the top clip and it is still not sitting perfectly!). Ran the wiring to the rear camera under the passenger side scuff trim and through to the tailgate grommet - happy with the end result (apart from the slightly dislodged A-pillar trim).

Not so happy with the camera running for twenty minutes and then power-cycling and corrupting the data. Will try a re-flash (firmware update) and see how we go. Image quality looked good!
