    CV Boot Heat Shield

    I am chasing a replacement cv boot heat shield part number 5q407720.

    Rang around a few wreckers and they were no help.

    VW want $160 for a new one with a 2 week wait, way too much for something so small...

    I am told the mk7 golf r or gti has the same part just 1 digit different.

    Isn't the car still under warranty or did it get damaged by other means ?

    Was not put back on when I got the dumpipe originally installed...
