I've had my 30k service at the local VW dealer which they replaced the thermostat housing and the whole transmission along with the normal log book service! It wasn't a big issue for me as it's just a novated car but I had this transmission slipping noise when changing from reverse to D for the first five mins while it's cold.

I know, ey? Apparently gear slipping is a known issue and there is a service bulletin for it. But after they applied the bulletin's fix, they said the car didn't pass some tests and sought approval from VW Australia to replace the transmission. The whole process took close to two months but they provided a hire car during the repair.

Hrms... how did you know the box was going?
I do experience bunny hopping when I'm on a hill and don't apply either the brakes or accelerator.
It feels like the TCU is to stupid to work out what it's doing so it's engaging the clutch, then disengaging which invokes this terrible bunny hop like how most people would drive my R33 with 1.7 ton clamping pressure on the clutch lol.
Maybe related too?
Also in random news, because I love using LC.. I chopped my mate's 370Z with decats, catback and intake.
