The "OK" button functions as the answer and hang up button on my MY19.5 R-Line. Not sure if this works with CarPlay/Android Auto as I've only tested it with Bluetooth.
Agreed - its not as if you change the assists every hour. You set the assists and leave them set.
It would be better if they allowed people to re-code a button to a function like Bixby on a Galaxy S10
I will have to look if the esc button is on mine

This confused the hell out of me at first too. Though if you look in the AID, it should show you the current incoming call, and what looks like a selection around "answer".
Which is the same for hanging up. Though, you may need to scroll to the "phone" screen. Would be nice for a phone button.
Tested and works OK with the AID
If you scroll to Maps in the AID, you will need to scroll back to hang-up a call
A bit fiddly, but perhaps I will get used to it![]()

Tested again today with the AID
An extra few clicks via the AID buttons but not a fail
Although I would have preferred a dedicated button its ok once you get used to scrolling through the AID to the phone menu
It's the "OK" button on the RHS of the wheel
When a call comes through, it comes up on the screen (at least on AID) with "OK" to answer, and then changes to "OK" to hang up once you are in the call
Funnily enough, this instructional video shows a different way

What about if using CarPlay? Seems a strange feature to omit, when safety is such a big marketing tool- plus phone use is particularly a focus in most markets.
I'd assume you'd have to use the touch screen on the media unit with CarPlay.

I reckon the biggest limitation is there is no Siri eyes free (or assistant button) like in nearly every other car. Yes the talk button works as Siri whilst in CarPlay, but when only using bluetooth the same button should also bring up Siri.
So in a BMW the talk button on the steering wheel works like this:
- If phone is either plugged in or connected via bluetooth, a single press of the button uses the BMW voice assistant, however a press and hold uses the Siri eyesfree. Hence not needing to have CarPlay turned on.
Wish there was a way for the same to work
