I’ve read about APR for the TSI engines, but a search on here, hasn’t brought up much info on the diesels.
Any suggested workshops in SA?
Googling suggests that apr and a couple of others (unsure of the source for those yet) go from 190hp to approx 220-230hp and torque from 400 to 450-500nm.
Has anyone had this done and also any long-term engine/driveline durability reports?

The Tiguan should have come out with the V6 Turbo Diesel from the Amarok..
Drove 1 for a day while VW were fixing the LED roof recall, was surprised with the power it had and how quick it felt 0-100 km/hr.

Yeah APR on do the petrol engines as they don’t get the diesels in the US.
Speak to Callum at Haines Mechanical & Detail. He does RD Technik who also do a fair amount of diesel tuning.
They can also do a DSG tune which is probably even more important to ensure you’re operating at max torque for the diesel. Otherwise it’ll still run a bit like a slug if you’re in the wrong gear.

Thanks tigger. I’ve emailed them to see what can be done.
Also, apr don’t have anything for this engine/ecu combo yet.
Edit- transporter, I’m hoping there is optimisation available for the existing hardware, to loose some extra power, rather than anything too extreme. Also, the 176kw version overseas seems to be reliable(I know it’s bi-turbo). I think ford have a small, high output tdi too.

I think you’ll find all the latest TDIs have been “detuned” at lower rpm to keep emissions down. You’ll definitely pick up more torque down low which will be your biggest win in terms of how the car drives.
