    132tsi lights

    Hi all,

I was just wondering for those with a 132TSI, could you retrofit in the Highline lights? And how would this be done (plug n play)?

(P.S Sorry if it is a stupid question!)

    Hi ABT..
    My gut thoughts are:
    1. The cost will be very high.
    2. It is not just swapping the light units.
    3. Almost certainly there are additional electronic components required.
    4. Additional firmware.
    5. Etc.

This is a very specialised area of work.

All of the above is conditional on finding a Dealer or 3rd party to carry out the work and guarantee it.

This was one of the reasons I stretched for the highline.

    All the best.

Ordered: 2017 build date Tiguan 162 TSI Highline with DAP in Tungsten Silver and rear luggage tray. ETA: late April / Early May. I did not have to wait. I took delivery on 11 March 2017.

This UK forum thread is exploring the idea. No answer yet, but someone actually bought the parts and has run up against software/coding issues.

I also wonder if the basic LEDs that are fitted to the 132tsi Adventure would be easier. They are not dynamic like the highline so may not require same as much coding support (if any).

If you want to find out what bits you're going to need then get a VIN off a Tiguan Adventure (or Highline) and get the spare parts to look up the part numbers for the lights, auto levelling system, washers, etc. Though paying spare parts prices in Australia is an expensive way to go. Far cheaper to buy them overseas and/or wait for an aftermarket option to become available.

There's a few different sets on places like ebay:OEM VW TIGUAN 5N 2015 2016 2017 FULL LED HEADLIGHTS COMPLETE PAIR LHD LEFT/RIGHT | eBay

There's also some cheaper Chinese versions out there too: For VW Tiguan Headlights assembly Bi-Xenon Lens Double Beam HID KIT 2017 | eBay

But with all of these you have to be careful that they are RHD versions and not LHD as otherwise you'll have the wrong curt-offs and you'll blind oncoming drivers.

    Hi ABT
dont get discouraging in start from some negative comments , keep researching it is possible , i have tiguan 132tsi comfortline and also want to upgrade to original Oem full led , already ordered headlights but will take some time to get all parts and corect coding research , you will need first correct full led headlights, Afs module , rear left leveling sensor wiring to connect to afs and bcm and can module and after proper coding , it is not so easy but all can be done if you have knowledge time and money
