    Week old 206tsi B Pillar Buzz/Vibration

Hi all, I’ve got a 206tsi that’s a week old with a B pillar Buzz that happens around 2500rpm in certain conditions. See link below, sorry for the size.

I’ve had it back at the D’ship and they were really good, they padded and insulated the area and it’s come back still with the same vibration only slightly quieter. I thought someone here may have heard this and can point me in the direction of it so I can help sort it.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

Did the dealer say what was causing it? Is there a cable or something that runs down there, or a loose plastic trim or something?

Being new, they should definitely fix it for you.. though as a backup option, audio shops can be good at finding/eliminating noises.

Cotton tape, foam and even some lubricants (TFPE, silicon spray etc) are useful for different types of rattles. Sometimes, trim screws just need tightening.

wear some ear plugs when you drive that should eliminate it or keep the rpms outside of 2500rpm

They don’t know unfortunately. They removed the pillar cover and insulated it and popped it back on, but it’s still doing it, albeit slightly less

are you sure its the bpillar or maybe its your sun visor rattling on the light behind it? the golfs did that as the sliding plastic mirror cover behind the sunvisor would touch the light and give a rattle at times.

I’m almost certain this is the MQB fuel line rattle, I’ve looked under the car, the noise is coming from the two hoses that many say was the culprit. When revving the car in neutral at 2500rpm they resonate a lot when touching them so much it almost makes my fingers numb. All YouTube videos that document the fuel line vibration show the same noise as my car, happening in the same conditions. Fingers crossed

    Sounds like fuel line rattle.
Lots of Superb 206 suffer from the same fuel line rattle.

My month old 206tsi suffers from this same issue, I've not yet had a chance to take it in to the dealer to look into.
Very interested if you manage to find and resolve the annoying buzz!

Took mine in for warranty on the buzzing today.
    Diagnosed as the fuel lines.
New fuel lines on backorder, approx 6-8 weeks. Apparently they'll get insulated when they're fitted.

    Hi Scottyg938 and DDDan

Was the dealer able to fix your buzzing? If so how long did they have the car before they were able to diagnose and fix it? I suspect my 1 month old 206tsi is suffering from the same issue.
