Mine front 2 replaced at 22k due to no rotation ever since new. Having Kumho now.
I replaced both the front tyres at 40k km due to bulging on one of them & rear tyres are still unchanged. I never rotate my tyres, should I?
Not too sure about Coopers on a car like this. I know they make an excellent off road tyre, tough sidewalls and durable carcass. They last a long time too but this is largely due to very deep tread depth and hard wearing compound. Great features in an off road tyre but not so great in a car designed to perform and handle like a late model Passat.
I have Cooper tyres on our Touareg and 2 Tiguans. On the Touareg the tread is only 1mm deeper than it was on Michelins. The CS5 Coopers on Tiguans have the same tread depth when new as Hankook tyres had. :?
Great tyres Coopers, good handling, quiet and long lasting.
Further to the discussion - I changed the Falkens out at 117500km. They gave me 52000ks. By the end they were a bit greasy in the wet. I decided to try the Coopers & they are CS5 Ultra Touring 235/45R18. So far have done 1000 kms - nice & quiet hold the road well. I’m running them @ 40PSI in the warmer months & will up this to 42PSI when it’s cold. Daytime temp under 17*c.

Running Hankook Ventis V12 235/35/19 on my diesel golf alltrack with 121kw and 370nm at the wheels so far i am on 37500ks
I have rotated the fronts to the back at 30k i think i should get 42 to 45k out of the set before needing to get new ones quite happy with that tire life as i do give it a bit :)
I run them at 36psi
I replaced the P7's @ 55k kms. Now run 245 wide tyres instead of 235 in PS4's
For grip, they are a huge improvement over the P7's, though they do ride a little rougher.
