    Service schedule

My car (201 didn't have a service schedule in the glove box when I purchased it. Is it available for download somewhere? I've found a US version, but not sure if it's the same as the Aussie one (miles vs km aside).

Its every 12 months or 15,000km for all Aussie VW/Audi/Skoda's. (regardless of diesel or petrol)

15,000km or 12 months minor service (oil + filter)
30,000km or 24 months medium service (oil + filter + brake fluid)
45,000km or 36 months minor service (oil + filter)
60,000km or 48 months major service (oil + filter + spark plugs + DSG transmission service + cabin filter + brake fluid + fuel filter).
75,000km or 60 months minor service (oil + filter)
90,000km or 72 months medium service (oil + filter + brake fluid)
105,000km or 84 months minor service (unless its a diesel in which case the timing belt and water pump are due)
120,000km or 90 months major service (oil + filter + spark plugs + DSG transmission service + cabin filter + brake fluid + fuel filter)

Then basically this cycle repeats itself over and over.

Expect to pay around $300 for a minor, around $350 for a medium and approx $1,000 for the major. Note dont bother taking a 10yr old car to VW for a service. They will royally screw you. Take it to one of the many VW or European Car specialist mechanics.

Obviously this list does not cover consumables like brake pads, brake disks, the fact that nearly every VW/Audi/Skoda will have waterpump issues, tyres etc.

If you have 4motion, then will need to change the haldex oil at the 45k service interval.

Correct, but specifically the Haldex Service is every 3yrs (so based on time), regardless of the kms traveled (as it is not specified).

Cabin filter is every 2 years and if mine is an indication then every 12 months is better.
Learn to DIY and buy off eBay. It's a 15 minute job.

    2 for $20.

Brake fluid is after 3 years then every 2 years. The 3 years is do appease fleet managers so just do it every 2 years.

I'd pull the DSG service back to 45k/3yrs.

If it's a manual change the gearbox oil at 75k.

change the coolant somewhere around 6 years
