Plastic trims

My B8 R-line wagon has a black trim just above the grille. I have seen other B8’s also R-lines and not which has chrome trim to match all other chrome on the front end.

Does anyone know if this is a R-line feature which has been dropped or did the scope of the features change with each years release?

Mine is a MY16.

Assuming he means the strip above the VW badge at the tip of the bonnet that stretches the width of the car?

Just saw mine and it’s all chromed.

Mine with LED head lights.

The chrome matching the headlight chrome. Bit thicker.

That was on new year eve. Parked in a visitor parking.

Tightest but get away with all the sensors.
