Better performance?
I've been a bit frustrated by the Alltrack's lack of willingness to accelerate when in D mode for the transmission. Sport mode holds the gears a bit too long for my liking unless you are very gentle with the throttle. I recently changed the custom mode to use Sport for the Drive system, however after shutting down the vehicle and starting again the drive system shows D unless you go into Modes and change away from and back to custom. What I've found though is that if you do nothing, you get a mode in between D and S. Throttle is way more responsive and the drive indicator stays on D. Even in Cruise control the car is more responsive. Perhaps it's using Sport throttle map with D on the transaxle? In any case I'm much happier with the car in this mode and it barely seems to use any more fuel.
