Wouldn't bother. There are no painted surfaces down low. The areas that mud, dirt, etc. is thrown up on, is either unpainted plastic or satin chrome plated plastic. Nothing much to damage, and any dirt and mud is easily washed off with nothing more than a blast with a pressure washer.

I can confirm that the cheapo ebay mudflaps to suit the standard wagon do not fit without drilling into the trim which I wasn’t prepared to do. I am yet to see any cheap alternatives specifically for the Alltrack.

I pick up my Metallic Blue Wolfie next week anything I need to know ? How about the extra 2 yrs extended warranty on offer for a couple of grand?

I took an extended warranty on mine, because my intention was to keep the wolf for a good few years.

I'm leaning towards the extended warranty but my recent history is one of owning cars cars that have had zero issues. We have an ix35 and only replaced 1 reversing sensor under warranty. Had an AH Astra for 8 years and only replaced 1 interior light globe + regular service items of course. Never had a car that really needed much fixed under warranty and hoping the Passat will be the same.

I see your from Tassie , we will be taking the Wolfie down there in October. I nearly got a rental car stuck down a dirt track last time we were there no problems next time.

I would get the Eric 5 year extended warranty insurance (8yrs total) as highlighted in an earlier post if you are going to spend a couple of grand for a 2yr extended warranty (5yr total) .....

So I picked up my Wolfsburg on Saturday. Absolutely loving it. Decided against any extended warranty above the free one the dealer gives for servicing with them.

Congrats! You should consider the Eric 5 yr extended warranty... i am about to get it. just a bit of peace of mind for 8years...
