Passat 206TSI: Where are all the MY18's?

Hi there,

So after lots of reading and finally driving one, I have decided I do want a Passat 206TSI MY18 – sedan. So, after checking carsales and various other sites, I am realising... there hardly are any! First, there are few 206TSI sedans around to start with. But out of those 90% appear to be MY17. What happened?

Have the MY18 not hit the second hand market, yet? Or were only few of them sold? I have a bit of time as my other car has not sold, yet, so I will be patient. But I am wondering...

Does anyone know the reason? Or even better... does anyone have one for sale?

According to this article, the 206 was discontinued in Oz in 2018.

Volkswagen Passat goes petrol only | GoAuto

It returned in 2021 with the facelift as a wagon only.
