Usually the two suffix letters are the iteration of the item and would in this case be BA, BB, BC, etc so that is an earlier version of yours
What nav unit have you got
I have a 2018 Passat wagon and I want a backup navigation card. Mine is an 8GB card with this lettering:
Volkswagen Navigation AS
Multi Region Map 2 (V7)
3GO 919 866 BF
258735 [printed sideways]
Cards like this occasionally come up on eBay and other places. How can I tell if one of these will work in my car? Does the card have to have exactly the same lettering? Does it depend on:
• Only the vehicle model?
• Only the navigation unit model?
• Country of origin?
• Combination of all the above?
For instance, this card is for sale from the USA: "3GO 919 866 BB" and only the last letter is different. Any good to me?

Slightly OT, but if you wanted to download manually and update, I've updated mine twice successfully using a USB stick so it doesn't just need to be an SD Card, same thing applies though regarding the size, file structure format type etc.

Hillbilly: how do you tell what Navigation Unit is installed? I couldn't find anything in all the menus that says what the unit is.
I read somewhere that the Pro has a hard drive, which I'm sure mine doesn't have. On the Navigation info screen it says nothing about Pro or whatever, but it does say:
5NA919866AN
1420
MRM3 2020/21
Here's a photo, not inserted by the Insert image icon (which doesn't work for me) but by using the Image Uploader.
Notes for myself:
1. To insert an image, go to Image Uploader at top of page.
2. Upload the image
3. Select the BBCode (Forums) image link option, select the link and copy.
4. Paste into the relevant thread.
Geez, I shouldn't have to make notes on how to do that!
