How bad is the standard audio system (206TSI R-Line)?

Is it on par with other VW's of the same era? If you've upgraded your speakrs, what have you done?

Sad the Dynaudio wasn't an option on the early cars....

Pretty ordinary unfortunately.
I put a small powered sub under the drivers seat and it helps a lot.

I have the 132TSI Comfortline R-Line and I don't think the speakers/system is that bad. So much so that I'm not going to change the headunit as it is too hard and costly, I am putting in a proper sub, thinking about changing the speakers over but not in a rush. If the sub makes good improvement I may not worry about it.

Paying someone to run the power cacble through the firewall though, couldn't figure it out!
