Engine Control Unit Recall

I just noticed that my MY16 Passat Alltrack has a recall listed as outstanding. Its for the ''S-Engine control unit'' and the recall commenced 31/05/2022. Has anyone had it done / know what its about. I will check with the dealer but sometimes i get better info here than i do from the dealer.

I would wait and see if you get a letter as we had a Polo that wasnt listed in the recall list and we got a letter and they did it

Had it done today. Its a software update which relates to exhaust gas recirculation according to the dealer. So i expect its only diesels.
