cool, i'll try doing from outside the car
One question for you guys.
When you do basic setting of the headlights...are you sitting IN the car or do the basic setting from outside the car?
When you do basic setting while sitting in the car, the lamps are a bit raised because of the drivers weight. When doing it from outside the car (vcds cable goes through your window) the basic setting will be performed as it should be. Your lights won't be slightly raised and no blinding etc.

Make sure your car is on level ground and if possible a wall in front of you. Use something to mark your current headlight light beam on the wall. Also when sitting in the car.
Then do the basic setting from outside the car, then you will see the difference.
I did this on an Arteon. The first time while sitting in the car, people were still flashing because they were blinded. After doing setting outside car, it was good. No more blinding.
I'll try and take a video with my GoPro tonight to show you what it's doing.

Well, holy crap it works well... I don't know why this just isn't enabled from factory.
I'm down in the country and got a chance to try it out. I know high beam is good, but it's brilliant when you can be behind someone and still have a bunch of light. It masked out the car in-front very well. I think it gets confused a bit with dim street lights, but that may be a characteristic of the system.
Now I've just got to realign them slightly for low beam as they're point down too much. I must have stuffed it when doing the basic settings.

Hi Wynnston,
That's great news.
Do you mind if I check some of my settings with you?
Any help would be great, as i'm really happy with HBA, but after seeing the video, that would be awesome to get.
Thanks

Well, finally got it working as in the video, and wow. This is brilliant, and works well. My only criticism is that sometimes it gets tricked by the road side reflectors on bends, but on the highway is awesome.
So, in "Eco" Driving mode in the DCC, its High Beam Assist. When you select "Normal" Driving Mode in the DCC, its DLA.
This is now working on my car.

I have the same start up sequence. I usually drive around in Eco anyway, but i'll try and start it in Normal and see if that changes.
Seriously though, how cool is this car.
