Dynamic Light Assist

I didn't quite catch the thread if there was definite answer.

But! My 2 good friends just acquired this function in their cars. First car is 2015 Passat B8 with module 55, where we did Driver Assist Camera retrofit and second is 2018 Arteon with camera from factory, but no DLA, module 4B.

On both cars it was possible to activate DLA options just with coding/adaption. Both car owners complained that DLA doesn't work like their previous car DLA worked(Passat B7 and CC respectively).

I loaded VCP and both module datasets included option for DLA. Also headlight start pattern changed to check the DLA functionality.

So per our testing, parameters are a MUST!

wow.....this is exactly wat i need for my SLA (DLA equivalent for Skoda) retrofit in my Superb.
I need the parameter set uploaded into my existing 4B module.
similar to the Passat B8 in ur pic above.

i've got the SLA headlights and the correct AFS slave modules for each headlight.
but my existing 4B module doesn't have the parameters for "AFS_with_MDA".
i've got a full write-up here on RossTech forums.

would b really great if i can get some advise/assistance from u.
Kamold has been of great assistance thus far, and he's advise is exactly that - that we need to upload the 4b parameters (which includes DLA/SLA) to my car.

If You feel comfortable around VAS5054a cable, then give me PM. Maybe we can work this out together with Kamold.

No, I've never used VCP - sorry.
I only have vcds.

I'm planning to meet up with Kamold on the coming Easter weekend - hoping to sort it out then :-)

Finally got some good news to report - the final piece to the puzzle, the AFS_MDF data file, was successfully loaded, via ODIS, into the 4B module and the SLA (Skoda's version of DLA) functionality is now fully operational.

No errors. wooOoot

I went for a quick test drive and its certainly doing the fancy masking with the auto high beams, as expected.

A BIG BIG thanks to Kamold and Magnus with their assistance, and patience in sourcing the parameter file.

Is there anyone on here from WA that's got the tools. I am not fond of buying knock-off cables and the real deal is expensive just for a single coding job.

Maybe you could sell it on after using it, or form a consortium of other guys in your same situation (only need it for a single use) and send it on to them once you've used it?
