Cracked front interior door handle replacement

My B8 Passat 206TSI's door handles have been affected by the common 'cracking' problem. Unfortunately the car is out of warranty and hasn't been near a dealer in a while, so I decided not to lobby them to replace it in good faith.

The replacement items are relatively cheap (under $80ea) and I also took advantage of the recent Vagparts 10% off sale to land them for $140 shipped.

I'll fit them when I get around to removing the door trims to sound deaden the doors in future. Part numbers shown for reference.

Nice, I had my drivers side replaced under warranty, but now my passenger side has gone and the car's out of warranty. Cheers for the part numbers I'll grab the part and replace it myself. I've been trying to find a step by step guide online, but no luck so far.

My wife's Passat is an R Line. It has two rows of white stitching on this handle. Are they all the same for different models?
    Cheers......Wayne

    Hi Wayne,

the stitching is on the outer section of the handle, not on this this inner piece. They are two separate parts.

Brilliant, thank you! A panel beater damaged this trim on my Passat and it's been driving me insane, and VW quoted over $350 to repair. Every used B8 Passat I've sat in has had this issue.
