I've had the same problem last year... turned out the water pump was leaking and was replaced under warranty. I topped up with distilled water prior to my appointment with the dealer.

Can I confirm that any red coolant from supercheap auto will be fine?

I entered my license plate on their website and one is recommended with total flush and the other doesn't state that a flush is needed. I assume I use the non flush required one? The brand in Nulon for reference.

Check and make sure your water pump is not leaking.
As you shouldn't need a top-up at all as mine have not even moved at all
after so many car service and mine is 122k now.

Definitely see if water pump is the issue. I'm getting my water pump replaced in the 206TSI under warranty next week as was leaving nice coolant puddles all over the place. De-mineralised water did the trick as a temporary small top up.
