Accelerator ignored once soon after startup

    Hi,

does anyone else have this issue?

I start the car, drive off, like say in a car park, get to the exit, merge onto the road and put my foot down and ... nothing.
nothing, nothing then a second or 2 later, boom, we are off. It doesn't do it again unless i restart the car.
It's like the computer is busy booting up or something. No other issues, no codes on the OBD2 interface.

    TIA, Rex

Sounds odd - haven't heard of this issue before!

It could be worth acquiring a bluetooth OBD2 dongle (e.g. the Veepeak BLE+) and the Carscanner ELM app (or similar) so you can check and clear codes and also monitor the data coming from the throttle pedal.

It also has the benefit of allowing you to code various feature sand settings on your car.

I have the vgate OBD2 connector, as recommended by the "Car Scanner" app. I used it to diagnose and replace the left rear ABS sensor. Good idea about monitoring the throttle position and other sensors. It might be hard to pin down as it only seems to do it once.
