206 TSI - Anybody track their 206? What upgrades?

Having come from an Golf mk7R into an 206TSI, does anybody have any good information on what upgrades should be done?

I've pulled a few things off my Golf R before I sold it and installed on the passat:

    - DBA T3 Rotors
    - Intima Type D pads
    - Rs3 Brake ducts
    - Put in fresh Castrol SRF fluid
    - Dogbone mount
    - K&N panel filter + remove snow grate
    - Currently running S001 (non-RFT version) on the 19's, I have 18 inch semi slicks, but they are 225/40/18, too small for the passat. Anybody had luck running 225/40/18? It would only be on the track
    - 034 Motorsport stage 1 ECU + DSG tune

Planning to go Sandown next month.

I can definitely feel the extra weight/length of the passat and I don't know how it will hold up on the track compared to the golf. It's less pointy (but not much), there is quite a bit more body roll.

Should I just bite the bullet and get camber plates (-1.5 camber) + rear sway bar? I'm afraid the car will be too soft for the track

I added front+rear sway bars to the Arteon and that made a big difference to the body roll - it was pretty bad, even compared to the R36 ( which is a similar size). I haven't tracked it though, so probably not the best source of advice.

IMO - 225 tires are quite small for a 206 Passat. The Arteon runs 245 standard and even then traction is an issue with a stage 2 tuned ea888.3 "206tsi" engine (and gearbox) - been exploring options for wider tires.

Thanks for the reply, which front and rear sway bars did you go for?

Also funnily enough a family member came with me to a track day and he had his stage 1 Arteon (white) - Cars - Tampered Motorsport - 15th May 2022 - Tampered Motorsport Sandown - Group A - Motorsport - SDpics

The body roll looked pretty controlled for how big it is (completely stock except brakes and tune), I think the 20 inch rims helped quite a bit. He was also only 2-3s a lap off my Stage 2 Mk7R - I need a driver mod lol

Yeah 225/40/18 seem like they're going to be too skinny for a passat/arteon size, but annoyingly the semi slicks only have 2 track days on them

    Nice =)

I got the sway bars (and pretty much everything else) from Harding Performance in Brisbane. You should be able to access details and links here: Arteon Performance Mods / Tuning (let me know if you have any issues)
