Type 3C Passat Alltrack 2015 engine speed at 100km/h

I have a 2015 Passat Alltrack and was wondering if anyone has the same model that has not had the diesel emissions recall applied yet. Would be great, if you able to let me know what the engine speed is at 100km/h. Somehow I recall it used to be around 1800 rpm at 100km/h in the motorways.

    Thanks.

The recall can't change the rpm at 100. It'll still be in top gear at 100 so it's all mechanically linked through the diff/gear box/clutch.

You asked the same question on Facebook... Gear ratios are fixed, unless it's not going to top gear engine rpm to road speed will be fixed... Unless of course you have changed your wheel diameter which is not likely.

I have not asked this on Facebook (as I do not actively use Facebook).

Am just asking if anyone who has the same model could kindly provide a reading.

It is more than likely that I have not recalled the previous reading accurately, hence my question here.

Sorry, my bad. Just saw a similar question about rpm in a diesel at 100kmph recently in relation to VW recall. Coincidence I guess.

Cheers. You can work out the engine rpm to vehicle speed by using the top gear ratio and tyre circumference. As @Passat_my07 said, it's a fixed ratio. There are a few calculators online.

    No worries.

I have found the online calculators and have all the data that is required except for the differential ratio. Any insights on where this ratio can be found?

I'm not sure that this is the right place to post this - but talking about DSG gear ratios, I haven't found any source for either the final drive ratio or the gear ratios for the R36, which are supposedly different to other Passats - apparently 5th and 6th gear are shorter in the R36 compared to other Passats. Does anyone have a link for this?

My Alltrack a MY15, no recall been done.
100 Km/h about 2050 rpm in top gear.
My speedo error is about 2 km/h when checked against a GPS.

Thanks macdoc for this. Gone are the days when I could rely on my memory for such details.
