I recently had a hairline crack repaired in my Omanyt 18 inch wheel on my R36. The repairer noted that my direct TPMS sensor was leaking and removed it from the wheel. Of course this has thrown a low tyre pressure light on the dashboard. (Not sure whether I will eventually replace this or not.)
The question I have is how do I disable the TPMS using OBDEleven there doesnt seem to be much specific information on the net?

Yes you can disable TPMS.
In the B6 the TPMS controller (65) is part of the CCM (46).
You can disable it in coding.
