The tailgate latch of my 2008 Passat TDI Wagon failed this morning. Now I can't open the trunk door. How can I open it manually from the inside? Thanks.

Climbed inside the trunk and opened up the plastic mount where the emergency triangle supposed to sit. That gives access to a hole where I could put my finger through to reach the lever that unlocks the latch manually.
Turn out to be bad contact. Pull out and push the plug back in. Hope it won't happen again.
