Some help/advice for a problem I can't solve

Wow you scored a pretty good deal on the exhaust system. Think I might just have to hunt around for someone trying to offload it like you did on eBay etc. slim chances but could pay off. Love that CF intake though!
Has the sound of the turbo increased with it? I've heard that those pod filter intake kits increased the spooling sounds.
Actually that brings me to another question for tdi owners: stock standard can you hear it spooling up and the dump valve? Mine when windows up can barely hear it when it's in quiet surroundings but windows down it's very noticeable (mainly in 2nd and 3rd). Originally thought perhaps I had a leak but it seems to pull ok once it builds up.
Also I've read that tdi need dry filters (not the oil based ones) but every upgrade I've come across is oil based which contradicts what I've heard. Apparently it messes with the sensors (which sounds plausible).

Afternoon, to be honest, the only time I hear the turbo or blow off value is if I have my sunroof open, may sound different if standing along side of the car. I know some one with a 4 wheel drive diesel, no mufflers, not a lot more sound than it was when stock, do not expect much difference with a diesel, compared to when a petrol exhaust is changed, there is a big difference.
Have read many times that you should not have an oil base air filter, has not caused me any issues, I do take it easy with the oil after I have cleaned it.

Bummer about the exhaust. Some of them sounded pretty mean. Must have been just running straight pipes with a nice tune or something.
Good to hear about the air filter though. Seems to be a contradiction when it comes to the oil as they say it's a no no yet every aftermarket upgrade I've seen whether it be just a simple stock replacement upgrade to a full upgraded intake system all use oiled air filters.
