In our 'throw away society' and high labor costs I sadly ask "does anyone repair these things anymore?" Rns510 repair

I wasn't trying to be smart, it's just seems too be that way with TVs for e.g. with a lot of brands stating that any failure during the warranty period is replaced with a brand spanker as parts are not made available.

I feel long term this can only result in less techies being trained in the art of 'black magic' to diagnose and fix these units as there becomes less and less call for such tradesmen.

But, I'm sure there's still a few 'die hards' defying the odds out there and carrying on the tradition. Well, I hope so.

I agree with you. It seems to be easier to just buy new one instead of actually try to work out what the issue is.
The prob is these units are not cheap.

If you can live without the NAVI on RNS510, you can replace it with Chinese market RCD330+ unit, which comes with Bluetooth, Apple Play etc. Very cost effective!

What is the problem with it?

The unit starts up and then switches off and then continues to start up and switching off every few minutes.
So it has power but doesnt actually work.
First-time any issues with the unit at all since new.
What i wanted was someone that can see if the unit is repairable and whether it is the init?

    Any recommendations?

The problem doesn't sound too great so I'd definitely be getting it looked at.

Yes, they certainly aren't cheap as I purchased one new a couple of years ago and unfortunately with these units don't have built in BT, so even more dollars for the module and wiring loom.
