    Reverse sensor constantly beeping

    Hey there,

The sensors on my wife's R36 recently stopped working. Just has a steady beep that doesnt stop so we have to constantly turn off the parking sensors. VW quoted us $400 to replace the horn part of reverse sensor. Has anyone had this issue before and were they able to source the horn cheaper elsewhere? Not sure what the part number is...

Did they actually do diagnostics on the problem or just give you a price?
First thing I'd do is get a scan done to see exactly what faults (if any) are being thrown by the PDC.
Where abouts in Sydney are you located?

My '08 did the same as soon as reverse was selected, scanned as a sensor being faulty but when swapped did the same. Ended up replacing the parking module which was bought on eBay for about $90.
