As for the fuel sender issue, it appears between red cluster and any newer cluster. So wouldn't matter if it were white or coloured.
I went from white to full colour cluster and didnt have any issues, indicating that there was a change from <MY09 when they dropped the red cluster.
maximumexposure's white cluster is a 3C0 920 871 S.
