Gas struts perhaps?
Hi guys
Hopefully someone can help. Yesterday the powered tailgate on my R36 wagon decided it was no longer going to open fully. Only opens about 1/4 of the way.
Did a scan this afternoon and got an "implausible signal" error from the rear switch.
I took the switch out and it looks like there is some corrosion on the inside of the connector plug and inside the switch.
I removed the switch, cleared the fault and rescanned. The error is gone now but the door still won't open.
Any advice? Hopefully I don't have to replace any door motors!?!?
Cheers
Dom

If i remeber correctly it tells you in the manual (That book no one reads) LOL how to alter the amount it opens. Can be because someone stopped it at that level and it thinks thats where you want it. Happened to me afew years ago and I reset it. Cars not here so cant read the book ATM.

Mamba Ebike to replace Tiguan
Manually open it by lifting it up then hold down the button to close it for 3seconds till the indicators flash then the new height should be stored good feature if you're garage roof isn't as high as the tailgate opens.
