    R36 seats into a 2006 Passat FSI 4 Motion?

    Hi all,

Just wondering if 2008 R36 seats will bolt into a 2006 passat?

Or if not, are there other options for aftermarket seats that are not crazy expensive ... looking for better support and comfort.

    cheers,

    Jon

Should be a straight swap. Also depending on if electric or not. There is a chance the airbag plug may be different too.

No probs. Physically the same mount points.

You might have to swap the airbag plugs. It's quickest / easiest to cut the wires 100mm back from the plug and solder / heatshrink.

The little black plug for the seat belt sensor should be the same.

I am looking to sell my 2008 R36 front seats and put some other lightweight hugging seats in. Has anyone ever tried this ? I had a look under the drivers seat and there is a whole lot going on such as wiring/looms, control unit, mechanisms etc. EVO 7 or 8 seats may be a possibilty.
