    R36 P2711 Code frequency help

    Hi All,

Long time R36 fan, finally in the market for one. A beautiful example with 113,000kms has appeared but a pre purchase check before the current owner purchased has raised a couple of questions.

Is the P2711 with 25 occurences something to be concerned about? It seems to elude to mechatronic and clutch replacement in future.

    Any assistance much appreciated!

The 4x4 electronics is pretty common the “lifetime” filter clogs and burns the hydraulic pump out, fix is a filter, pump and fluid.

What year is the car? Would this TSB match https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...24470-9999.pdf

Being low kilometres, check the DSG and haldex services were done at the right time and kilometres

2008. Will need to check if there is history on the DSG and haldex. My research seems to think the clutches need to be replaced. Might avoid this one and keep looking

If my memory serves me correctly, the MY09 R36s had a mid cycle update, white cluster instead of red etc if you are looking at something a bit newer feeling.

And I may be biased, check out the B7 and CC, came in the same drivetrain as the R36
